Subdomain

Subdomains can be used for a number of things including; Organizing information, load balancing and machine names. They are most often used to organize information within a website. We will use Yahoo.com as an example. When you visit different sections of their website you will see finance.yahoo.com, sports.yahoo.com etc. Both of these examples are subdomains.
